Chris added: “Construction work on a huge 5600 sq m exhibition hall and 2000-space public car park at the showground is finally underway. These changes will improve the festival as there will be an additional 500 extra indoor spaces available. Along with tarmac parking this will make the event less dependent on the weather and eliminate the need for marquees. Building work on the hall is due for completion this October; unfortunately not in time for our second Festival of Antiques on October 5-6. The showground organisers are keen that dealers at the fair check out the hall. The new car park should be ready for the October fair.

“All this building work means that the layout of our two fairs here will alter, with the main changes being the customer parking, marquees and allocated outdoor stands, with visiting customers parking just outside the showground.”
