Atlantique City was founded as an annual event in March 1986 and in its first decade drew an international mix of buyers and sellers to the Atlantic City Convention Center.
However, in the wake of 9/11, as Americans curbed their travel, and importing goods to the United States became more difficult, numbers have fallen.
The news that Atlantique would again become an annual event, capable of generating a sense of occasion, was largely welcomed by the 300 dealers at the October 18-19 event.
The Spring 2009 edition of Atlantique City will be held on March 28-29.
