Lorina Curtis, from Swansea, states that she has “fallen foul” of the policy twice in the past six months, adding that “because the amount claimed on both occasions has been very small, I have accepted the loss and moved on”.

However, having read ATG’s report, she has now sent another letter off to Royal Mail, enclosing a copy of the letter from Mr Goulborn published last week and demanding full compensation.

“I feel that your organisation should continue to highlight this problem with Royal Mail, and make a stand on behalf of the small business,” she tells ATG.
