Ellwood Auctions will be launching a new specialist firm of book auctioneers in Salisbury with their first sale on May 19, using the auction to attract visitors to a small fair running alongside the event.
“The auction is different from existing book and speciality auctions, in that it is run by a bookseller and member of the PBFA,” says Marc Harrison of Ellwoods.
He says that the company’s close links with the book trade make it an ideal outfit to host the auction, for which they are hiring the services of a professional auctioneer. He also promises low commission rates.
