Norman Schaut, 77, who launched Atlantique in 1986 and sold it after its 25th staging in 2001, will hold the fair at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pennsylvania, on October 9-10. In an attempt to introduce some levity to the collecting scene, it will be called Fun Fair with the subtitle The Happiest Show on Earth.

Schaut said that within six weeks of announcing Fun Fair in January, he received requests for space from 37 states plus dealers in Canada, England, Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands, and Japan.

He said he has room for 586 dealers in Oaks and, with booth rents (ranging from $175 to $1180) roughly half of those charged at Atlantic City where union fees increase costs, he says he is already 90 per cent full.
