The non-profit organisation, which represents art and antique dealer associations across the globe, has commissioned independent art market research company Arts Economics, to conduct the study, which aims to analyse the changing role of art and antique dealers in the art market, society and the global economy.

Arts Economics is run by leading art market analyst Dr Clare McAndrew, who is appealing for people who collect art to take part in the study by answering an online survey, eliciting their views on the art market and how they interact in it.

To complete the survey quickly and anonymously, use the link:

The survey is open to all of those who collect art, be it privately, corporately, through an institution or as part of the trade itself.

“Their participation plays a vital part in ensuring that the substantial role played by collectors and dealers in the international art market is properly recognised,” says Dr McAndrew.

All participants in the survey will be entitled to receive a free and advance copy of the report. Simply include an email address at the end of the survey.

Dr McAndrew is happy to answer any questions on the survey (contact details below).

The survey is strictly confidential and anonymous. Answers will be combined with those of other collectors and analysed only by the research team at Arts Economics. No direct reference or connection will be made from the information provided to any individual or their business.

Only aggregate data will be presented in the final report, and no individually attributed answers or other information will ever be published or in any other way made publicly available.
