In Paris, many will be visiting the Grand Palais to attend the Biennale des Antiquaires while the Left Bank turns the spotlight on tribal art with almost 70 specialist dealers holding their annual tribal trail, the Parcours des Mondes, in the galleries around the Beaux-Arts district.

Among the Parcours des Mondes' dealers will be Galerie Olivier Larroque from Nimes, whose display of African art themed around magical powers will include this late 19th/early 20th century fertility statuette from Akwaaba, Ghana, priced around €10,000.

At the same time, on this side of the Channel, another group of specialist dealers will be flying the flag for the UK tribal market with Tribal Art London at the Mall Galleries.

Previews of these two events appear in this week's ATG.
