There are five auction rooms incorporated into the 12,000 sq ft space, which, according to Unique, is now the largest space of its kind in Lincoln. The rooms are located in Teal Park, south west of the City of Lincoln.
“Since we moved to Lincoln we’ve experienced five years of rapid expansion,” Unique Auction’s Darryl Kirk told ATG. “We’ve been looking for a new space for around two years and with the new rooms we will be able to run things more effectively.”
The new location will allow the auction house to put all seven of its planned monthly auctions online thanks to the enlarged viewing space and improved internet connection.
Unique Auctions' current main rooms will remain open as a head office and a set of smaller rooms, opened two years ago, are set to close.
At the new premises long term plans include new entertainment and memorabilia sales. Short term, plans include the hiring of six to eight new members of staff.
Unique Auctions was established in 1968 by chief auctioneer and valuer Terry Woodcock.
