Mark Moehrke, vice president and director of Russian works of Art at Doyle, New York.
Moehrke joins from Christie’s where, until January of this year, he was responsible for the company’s New York and London Russian works of art sales as vice president, head of department.
The move is a return to Doyle for Moehrke, who began his auction career there in 2001, working first in client services then as a furniture and decorative arts appraiser and cataloguer.
He is currently evaluating Russian works of art for Doyle’s upcoming auctions.
“Doyle will be holding its first sales including Russian works of art in May 2017,” he says.
"For our first offering, we will feature a dedicated section of Russian works of art in our sale of important English and Continental furniture and decorations.”
