Nina Eggens of Nina’s Apartment watched more than 50 fire-fighters battle the blaze at Lethenty Mill on April 28, which also housed a furniture maker’s and a photographer’s studio.

“I will create something again, but whether that’s a vintage shop I haven’t decided yet,” Eggens told the ATG.

All of Eggens’ stock was destroyed with the exception of a few smoke damaged chairs that were in the building’s storage and the offer of a few clocks and cupboards from fellow dealers.

Neither the shop nor the building were fully insured.

Eggens insists that despite the loss of her stock she is still “pretty selective” and any future purchase will be limited to those who meet the aesthetic of her vintage furniture shop, which she first opened in 2011.

The cause of the fire is unknown as are plans for the building's future.

Eggens took to her Facebook page on May 3 to write: “Please do pass on any tips about premises, stock or other helpful advice you may have for me - I will write it all down while I am considering my next moves. But for now I will take a wee break.
