Among the highlights at Bonhams’ Goodwood Revival Sale are motoring and personal items from the collection of rally driver and car designer Donald M Healey and his son Geoffrey.
More than 70 lots are on offer including signed books, diaries, unseen concept car artwork, a scratch-built model and trophies from the man who founded the Donald Healey Motor Company in the 1940s.
This watercolour and gouache by Roy Nockolds (1911-79) depicts Donald Healey in the ‘Austin Healey 100 NOJ 391’ at the Bonneville races in the Utah salt flats.
This watercolour and gouache by Roy Nockolds, depicting Healey in one of his own Austin Healey models, is among the lots. Carrying an estimate of £1500-2000, it was chosen by the Healey family for their Christmas cards in 1954.
Also on offer is the collection of the late Jack Sears, winner of the inaugural British Touring Car Championship.

Elsewhere at the auction at Goodwood is this 1935 Lagonda LG 45 Monte Carlo Works rally car with an estimate of £200,000-250,000. Among the fastest road cars of its generation, capable of 100mph, it is one of approximately 150 surviving models. It is also an example of the first Lagonda design to be overseen by Bentley founder Walter Bentley.
