It means that although the auction is held in Manhattan, those who purchase lots can decide whether to collect from Forum’s New York office or have the artwork returned to the UK or Europe.

The nearly 40-strong collection includes standard editions as well as a handful of rarer artist’s proofs.

Highlights include Girl with Balloon (2004) (estimate $80,000-120,000), Bomb Love (Bomb Hugger) (2003) (estimated at $30,000-40,000) and Turf War (2003) (estimated at $30,000-40,000).

All lots are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by Banksy’s official Pest Control Office.

The December 12 auction in New York will mean there is no Artist's Resale Right (ARR) fee, UK import duty or VAT for European buyers taking delivery of purchased lots in London.

However, New York City sales taxes of 8.875% will apply if a buyer takes delivery of purchased lots in New York.

Forum fizz

Forum fizz: Festive cheer from Forum came in the shape of a champagne bottle. It commissioned Forum Auctions-branded champagne to give to clients spending more than £10,000 in any of its December auctions.

In October 2016, Forum’s white-glove Banksy sale in London made more than £600,000 and set 15 records. The auction was the first for Forum’s Modern & Contemporary art and Editions department.

To enter into the festivities this year, Forum has commissioned some Forum Auctions-branded champagne and will be giving bottles to clients spending more than £10,000 in any of its December auctions.
