Organised by the French auctioneers’ association SYMEV (Syndicat National des Maisons de Ventes Volontaires) the event, which has been running for over a decade, is aimed at promoting the profession and familiarising the public with the entire auction process. The latest edition runs from May 19-21.
Salerooms across Paris and the regions will be holding valuation days, previewing auctions and also staging sales (weekend auctions being a regular feature in the French regions).
