Named Freshly Pressed, the print fair is organised by and held at The Civic, an art hub in Barnsley. Illustrations, photographic prints, homewares and local books will be exhibited alongside a programme of poetry performance and printing demonstrations.

“We have already have a number of artists signed up for stalls which we are really excited about and we have also some of our live entertainment confirmed,” said Jason White the Civic’s assistant curator and fair organiser.

The fair is pitched as an inclusive event promising an affordable price point and a schedule of accompanying events – including children’s activities – similar in spirit to the Affordable Art Fair’s series.

Barnsley College and the “Hear My Voice” literacy and poetry initiative are serving as partners for the fair, which takes place on July 15.

Application for stallholders are open and those interest should contact Jason White jasonwhite@barnsleycivic.co.uk.
