Among the stand-out sales was a Martin Brothers ‘Wally’ bird jar and cover, which sold from the stand of Andrew Muir for £28,000. Alison Davey of AD Antiques sold a further 15 pieces from the Martin Brothers range, dating from c.1900. Meanwhile, David and Valerie Main Antiques, specialising in Royal Worcester porcelain, made sales in excess of £20,000 to one client.
The fair ran from July 19-22, hosting dealers from across the UK.
Art Deco
Another significant sale was a cold-painted bronze sculpture of a Bacchante dancer by Pierre le Faguays.

Made c.1925, it was one of two Art Deco sculpture Jeroen Markies sold for high prices – this one was snapped up for £10,500 while a second went for £20,000.
Also selling Art Deco pieces was Deco Dave, which was visited by a customer who had queued up on opening morning to get his hands on a rare French Bakelite ‘Jumo’ table lamp. It was offered for £1395.
