Richard Winterton Auctioneers has appointed sporting memorabilia specialist Ian Allsop. Allsop, from Derby, will hold valuation mornings every Tuesday at The Lichfield Auction Centre.
His first sale at the firm was the Jan Webster Sporting Memorabilia Collection on October 14. The firm has also announced the appointment of valuer Sonia Jackson.
Trinity House Paintings
Art dealership Trinity House Paintings has promoted Stephen Sheppard to gallery manager of its Trinity Modern Gallery in Broadway. Sheppard joined the company, which has two galleries in Broadway, another in London and one in San Francisco, in May 2017.
Unique Auctions
Unique Auctions in Teal Park, Lincoln.
Unique Auctions has opened its new saleroom at Teal Park, Lincoln, doubling its saleroom space. The firm has operated from a building in the business district on Teal Park, Lincoln, since 2016.
The new building is next to its existing 15,000 sq ft site and a walkway connects the two. The auction house said the new space will allow for more and varied auctions including vintage cars and transport.
Doerr Dallas Valuations
Valuers David Dallas and Rachel Doerr have launched Doerr Dallas Valuations following Dallas becoming a shareholder of Doerr’s business. The firm will continue to provide insurance, probate and valuations for individuals and institutions.
Dallas has worked at auction houses Christie’s, Phillips Son and Neale and Bonhams and with dealer Johnny Van Haeften. He has also sat on the vetting committees of fairs including the Art and Antiques Fair at Olympia, Grosvenor House Fair and Masterpiece London. He has worked with Doerr since she launched her business in 2016. She was previously at Pall Mall Art Advisors.
