The owner of the firm has accepted an offer on the Sighthill saleroom, meaning the December 2 auction will be the last under the current regime. Items from the auction must be paid for by December 17 and all goods in storage collected by December 22.
Trading for more than 40 years, Shapes has long operated two distinct businesses from the Sighthill premises – a popular saleroom holding auctions on the first Saturday of the month and a retail showroom for new furniture.
The furniture showroom is moving to South Queensferry.
