The show coincides with the events of London Art Week and offers a selection of works by artists including Samuel Prout, Thomas Shotter Boys and William James Müller.

Taylor, previously of Sotheby’s and Spink, works as an agent and art advisor as well as a dealer and operates by appointment from west London.

Included in the show is the 2½ x 3in (6.5 x 8cm) watercolour, A black and white dog, by Lady Emily Dundas (d.1900). She was a society lady and wife of the First Naval Lord in the Russell ministry. She is one of a number of little-known 19th century women artists featured in the show. This work is offered for £1300.

Alongside the exhibition, Illustrationcupboard will showcase a range of European Old Master drawings, 20th century British watercolours and contemporary illustration artwork on the first-floor gallery.
