The first part of a private owner collection of modern and contemporary art is going under the hammer at Chiswick Auctions on June 27 in London.
Assembled over a 25-year period and featuring a diverse array of media, the 55-lot group includes ceramics by Grayson Perry, mixed media canvases by Aboudia Abdoulaye Diarrassouba and a rubber on linen work by Ned Vena.
Leading the sale at £50,000-70,000 is Marc Quinn’s (b.1964) Young Dancer Aged 15 (1988). Made in bread and cast in bronze, the 3ft 2in x 22in (96 x 56cm) high piece is from an edition of six and was acquired from the Osborne Samuel Gallery in London.
