Visitor footfall was reportedly up by 25% on last year too.
Among those who booked to return for 2018 was first-time exhibitor Andrew Purchase, who said: “I did not realise quite how smart the fair is with so many superb pieces for sale,” and reported the sale of a number of “key pieces” at his stand, Kore Purchase.
For regular exhibitors Simon and Candy Moss of Not Wanted on Voyage, the event was a return to form: “It was just like the old times – long queues with willing and anxious-to-buy clients. We sold across the board, decorative and midcentury including a large 1970s steel and glass room divider to a well-known celebrity.”
The fair is organised by Sue Ede along with Bath’s sister event the Bruton Decorative Antiques Fair, which takes place from October 14-16.
