The life-size ruminants, comprising a ewe, a ram and three lambs, were created in epoxy stone and patinated bronze in 1996-97 and have a stamp for the Landowski foundry where they were cast. With a provenance to two previous Miami owners – the Dorothy Blau Gallery and Wolfgang Roth & Partners Fine Arts – they are estimated at $600,000-900,000.
The sale also features a 16in (40cm) high bronze centaur by the same designer numbered five from an edition of eight, which has a provenance to Christie’s New York and is guided at $60,000-80,000.
