It features a bisqueheaded doll dressed as a chef marked Masson Lorraine AL & CO No Limoges, surrounded by a tempting display of breads, patisserie, quiches and other delicacies plus cooking implements, all mounted on brickbordered display card.
The set features in the two-day auction of over 500 dolls by French, German and American 19th century makers to be offered by Theriault’s Gallery in Maryland on June 10-11.
It is offered with a $1500-2000 estimate.
