Decorated in enamel and gilt with a procession of figures and a six character Qianlong mark to the base, the 6½in (17cm) diameter bowl was estimated at £40-60. It had a substantial replaced chip.

Online bidders, believing it may be period, quickly sent it into four figures before a phone buyer took over and the bowl, now going back to China, sold at £9000.
