A bangle, not a bracelet, that appeared in ATG’s summer supplement.
The one pictured (above) is a bangle, in that it is a solid hinged object, though bangles can also be plain solid bands.
The term derives from Hindi, so I am informed, while a bracelet is a flexible object whose name is derived from the Old French word ‘bracel’.
