This early example of Paris couture, a beaded net silk dress by Callot Soeurs with a label indicating it was for the winter season, 1916-17, is estimated at $1200-1500 at the Charles A Whittaker April 28 auction.
On April 28, the Charles A Whittaker auction house will be selling the collection in a 600-lot plus sale in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Many of the lots come with correspondence between Moore and Larson giving provenance and auction history, while others feature in Moore’s books: The Woman in Fashion and The Child in Fashion.
