This large 19th century Italian micromosaic depicting the Vatican in Rome is priced at £150,000 from London’s Mayfair Gallery.
Made from thousands of tiny tiles or tesserae, this large 19th century Italian micromosaic, above, depicts the Vatican in Rome.
The 3ft 5in x 2ft (1.04m x 61cm) panel dates to c.1870 and features groups of people in 19th century dress in St Peter’s Square below the dome of St Peter’s Basilica.
It is priced at £150,000 from London’s Mayfair Gallery.
