Running from January 26-28, it follows the Galloway Fair at the Majestic and will be succeeded by various other antiques events throughout the year including the second edition of The Northern Antiques Fair (also see Fairs & Markets for more Harrogate fair news, page 52).

But this show, run by Cooper Events, has carved out its own place in the Harrogate (and wider fair) scene, with three events that run annually at the Great Yorkshire Showground complex, about 10 minutes from the town centre.

Stands are sold out for this edition and 43 dealers will exhibit. Among them are a number of fresh faces including Angela Close, bringing a variety of 19th century furniture bronzes, needlework and more, Madelena with an assortment of Lalique glass, English needlework, Victorian Majolica and other delights, as well as antique box and treen specialist Paul Lake.

Other exhibitors include silver specialist Jack Shaw, J Dickinson Maps & Prints, porcelain specialist John Newton and Garret & Hurst Sculpture.
