He has more than 25 years of experience in watches and jewellery, swapping retail for Fellows auction house in 2011.
He moved to Woolley & Wallis in October 2017 – working three days a week based in Worcestershire before becoming an independent specialist providing watch expertise across the auction, insurance and asset-lending industries as well as to private clients.
Dreweatts has an established presence in the watch market but is keen to develop its standing in the luxury goods market that is attractive both for its average lot values and the youthful demographics of the collecting audience (also see Feature, page 14-17).
While there are currently no plans to hold stand-alone auctions of watches at Donnington Priory, a new sales calendar will include three ‘mid-season’ Watches, Pens and Luxury sales alongside established Fine Jewellery, Watches and Silver sales.
