More than 100 lots of 18th century glass from a private collection will kick off Roseberys’ Craft and Tradition sale on July 19 in West Norwood, London.
A highlight is this 6in (16cm) high George II Bielby wine glass above, c.1750-60, decorated with polychrome enamels and gilded with a fruiting vine and a flying insect in turquoise, amethyst and white enamels.
Estimate £2000-4000.
A sale of silver and objects of vertu at Salisbury saleroom Woolley & Wallis on July 17 will include a pair of Charles II silver Chinoiserie toilet boxes.
The 4½in (11.5cm) high rectangular forms are decorated with Oriental figures and birds and bear the maker’s mark PM, probably for Peter Monger, London c.1680-85.
