 A then unknown classical architect Robert Adam was working on designs for garden temples and follies which so impressed Curzon that he put him in charge of the construction of the mansion.

Now owned by the National Trust, the hall is the backdrop for Jaguar Fairs’ biannual Antiques in the Park with the first this year running over three days of Friday-Sunday, June 22-24. Organiser Alan Cartwright says that bookings for the large marquees, where standholders share the costs, are up this year.
