A dozen lots of 50s and 60s models by Tynell were offered and all bar one sold. A version of the Snowflake ceiling light, a 1950 design for the firm Taito Oy, provided the top price of the sale on May 29 at €90,000 (£78,950).
The light, made of lacquered brass, metal and opaline glass furnished the Hotel Vaakuna in Helsinki before entering a private collection in the Finnish capital.
