The pipe incorporates a musket barrel with abalone shell decoration.
It dates from the 1870s, stands 3¾in (9.5cm) high and has a provenance to a private collection in Stowe, Vermont, and the Museum of the American Indian/Heye Foundation, New York City.
The estimate is $5000-7000.
