This 7in (18cm) Beswick flying duck above is the only known example painted in ‘shelduck’ colours. Beswick’s popular flying ducks, produced between 1938-73 and made famous by Hilda Ogden on Coronation Street, are usually found in traditional mallard colours. Estimate £50-80.

Predating the modern moped, the Cymota motorcycle was produced for a short period between 1950-51 at Erdington in Birmingham. It was sold by Blue Star Garages in London, priced at 18 guineas.

The engine, enclosed in a cowling that carried the headlight, was designed as a clip-on attachment that sat above the front wheel, driving it by friction. Just 200 of these 45cc cycle-motor attachments are thought to have been made.

A 1950 bicycle attachment is estimated at £300-500 in Unique Auctions’ inaugural sale of classic cars, motorcycles and memorabilia in Lincoln on October 6.

Royal Doulton made a variety of sporting-themed series ware. Among the scarcer lines was the Diversions of Uncle Toby or Old English Games, which appeared only on jugs and cabinet plates with the pattern numbers D3121, D3111 and D3197 between 1909-30.

A Toby 'as a toxophilite' plate depicting Uncle Toby taking aim at an archery target is priced at £95 from Manfred Schotten Antiques in Oxfordshire.
