It is held in and around the piazza outside Central St Martin’s College of Art on Sunday, September 16, and something novel has been added to the mix: an ‘art cycle basket fair’.

Art Car Boot Fair founder Karen Ashton said: “The Art Cycle Basket Fair came about because we are embracing a more eco-friendly future. This new event will celebrate art on a bicycle, the art of the bicycle and the bicycle as art.”

Founded in 2004, the Art Car Boot Fair attracts art luminaries such as Sir Peter Blake, Gavin Turk, Rachel Howard, Mat Collishaw and Marcus Harvey.

Some 150 exhibitors including those mentioned will be selling their work from car boots, stalls, bicycle panniers, baskets and trailers in the square.
