The studio contents of prolific Royal Doulton modeller Leslie Harradine (1887-1965) are to be dispersed by Guernsey saleroom Martel Maides on September 13.

The 64-lot group has passed by family descent and comes from Harradine’s studio in Sark, also in the Channel Islands. Some 20 sculptures and models by Harradine are included, many dating from his time with Royal Doulton from 1920 and the mid-1950s, as well as more than 20 paintings by his wife, Molly McCann.

This large 3ft 10in (1.17m) high Art Deco style plaster female nude by Harradine, above, is guided at £3000-4000.

This 1981 18ct yellow gold Oyster Perpetual was purchased new by the vendor from Rolex in Kuwait in 1983. Maidenhead auction house Dawson’s will offer it on September 22.

Fully serviced by Rolex in 2017, it comes complete with paperwork, box and service receipt.

Lyon & Turnbull’s Asian art sale in Edinburgh on September 18 is led by this Sancai glazed pottery figure of an equestrian archer, above.

Dating to the Tang Dynasty, the 17in (43cm) high piece was once part of the renowned Schloss collection and features in Janet Baker’s 1996 book Seeking Immortality – Chinese Tomb Sculpture from the Schloss Collection.

Consigned from a private collection in London, it is guided at £3000-5000.

Ancient artefacts will form part of an 850-lot sale of tribal art and antiquities at Woolley & Wallis in Salisbury on September 19.

Among the pieces on offer is a Cycladic marble head featuring the typical lyre shape and triangular nose and attributed to the so-called Naxos Museum Sculptor.

The 5in (13cm) high piece comes on a plinth and has passed by descent from a 1960s private collection in Switzerland.

Estimate £2000-3000.
