Arnie began working in the antiques trade in the 1930s with his father, Wolf, in the Portobello Road and spent much of his working life traveling around the UK in search of antique silver.

He was later joined by his son Robert in the business A Pash & Son. They took premises in the Bond Street silver galleries and in 2003 moved to their current location in South Audley Street, Mayfair.

Arnie was a well-regarded and respected dealer among his contemporaries and was always encouraging to young dealers. He will be missed but remembered fondly by all.

Arnie was a loving husband to Jean; father to Robert and David; grandfather of Eleanor, Jamie, Danny and Emma, and great-grandfather of Frances.
