Edward Cruttenden, one of the best-known organisers on the circuit with his two Tuesday racecourse antiques markets at Kempton Park and Sandown Park, launched the first of two annual Sunday antiques markets at Sandown Park Racecourse this year on June 2.

As you may be able to tell from his comments above, he is delighted with the results and more Sunday slots are planned for 2020.

“We welcomed around 250 exhibitors with a 70/30 split between Kempton and Sandown Tuesday traders, and of the 30%, some had never traded at Sandown or Kempton previously,” Cruttenden added.

“The rest were dealers who used to trade when it was run by Wonder Whistle, with 90% having booked already for the next Sunday market on September 15.” Cruttenden said the buyers were from “across the board but featured “a lot of privates which is what we were aiming for with this market having more of a home, antiques and interiors feel”.
