This copy of his work on Anglo-Saxon laws was in a later binding, but a number of corrections found on its pages, it was suggested, may be in the author’s hand.
It came complete with a folding map of the kingdoms of Anglo-Saxon England that is attributed to Lawrence Nowell, with whom Lambarde had studied law.
A second part of the Eric Stanley library will be sold by Mallams on January 30.
