Following this he moved to Andalusia, southern Spain, and was Sotheby’s Spanish representative for some time.
An imposing figure and knowledgeable expert in English furniture, and ‘anything mechanical’, he was well liked and well respected by many friends in the Trade, those he worked with, and by his numerous clients.
