A Bokhara pattern runner – £3700 at Michael J Bowman.
It was catalogued a/f to reflect its condition and bidding went to £50 before two online bidders moved in.
They considered the runner to be a tribal piece from 19th century Turkmenistan and it topped the July 20 auction in Devon when it sold to a buyer from Turkey at £3700.
