'Evening Paper' by Patrick Caulfield features in Waddington Custot’s exhibition.
Morning, Noon and Night (September 11-November 15) features Caulfield’s work across a range of media, highlighting his interest in changing light at different times of day.
Depictions of everyday pursuits of the morning, noon and night are showcased, including domestic forms such as lampshades, window panes and wine glasses.
“Once I got on to shadows, I really went to town; they became compositional elements, in fact more than the objects that the shadows came from,” the artist said.
Alongside finished works there will be a selection of drawings and preparatory sketches. Prices in the Cork Street gallery’s show range from £1400-490,000.
