Weather stations were luxury items in the early 20th century, retailing for much higher prices than standard aneroid barometers.

This example, 14in (35cm) tall, is a c.1930 Chadburns model and combines an aneroid barometer, alcohol thermometer and storm glass. The instruments are set into a burr walnut veneer Art Deco mount with a calibration port and top-sited hanging plate verso.
