The earliest, set with a foiled sapphire, diamonds and white enamel coronet and engraved Lady Style OB 25 October 1737, was made in memory of Elizabeth Hotham.
The daughter of the 4th Baronet of Scarborough, she married Sir Thomas Style, 4th Baronet of Wateringbury in Kent.
Perhaps the most tragic was a Victorian ring inscribed In memory of my dear children Walter, Janet, Jane, Robert, Jessie. Both are pictured here together with other pieces from a fine collection.
