“As we hoped, the lockdowns created a big bump in online sales with month-on-month sales up 27% and November’s sales running at well over double compared to last November – and that was a record-breaking month in itself,” he said.
Rather than furlough everyone, “we invested in additional team time to list and sell items we have at the centre on our dealers’ behalf”.
Waggott added: “We’ve also helped 10 extra dealers of ours to start selling themselves via our website. Another seven dealers have started listing on our website and over half of them made sales in the first few days of listing items.”
