The epergne has one central and six smaller baskets suspended from six branches, features neoclassical detailing, and has maker’s and date marks for London 1774-5. It weighs just over 100 troy oz and measures 14½in (37cm) high x 21½in (54.5cm) wide.
The epergne comes from the estate of Marion H ‘Bit’ Hutcheson, Happy Valley Farms, Rossville, Georgia. The estimate is $8000-9000.
