Walsh says this is going well, with 66 cabinets and some art, and now a second antiques centre is opening at the premises, Heritage Antiques & Collectables, as well as an antiquarian book dealer plus other independent outlets.

Cromford Mill was the first successful water-powered cotton spinning mill developed by the cotton king, Richard Arkwright, in 1771.

It is now owned and managed by the Arkwright Society which has launched a number of events to add to the mill’s attractions.

This includes an antiques fair which had its first outing at the beginning of March, with the next on Sunday, June 7, plus a bazaar and an artisan market.
