Among them is this example of a Tunbridge ware sewing/writing table which was made for the young princess Victoria before she ascended the throne. The cabinet, which measures 2ft 10in (86cm) high x 2ft (61cm) wide, features around 80 different varieties of wood, some of them exotic or now extinct (detail of top also shown above).

The piece has the inventory stamp BP VR 1866 (Buckingham Palace/Victoria Regina). Formerly at the palace, it was later sold at auction in 1985 by Bonhams, purchased by an English buyer, then went to MS Rau Antiques of New Orleans before entering the Reed collection.

The estimate is $10,000-15,000.
