Fan leaf painted by Xu Gu, estimate Aus$25,000-35,000 at Bonhams in Sydney on December 2.
Among them is this fan leaf painted by Xu Gu (1824-96) in ink and colours with two squirrels. The 21in (54cm) wide leaf is signed and inscribed Xu Gu with one seal of the artist (twice) and is dated autumn of jimao year (1879).
The estimate is Aus$25,000-35,000.
