But this is the first time we have heard of an auction house starring as a jigsaw puzzle. British jigsaw manufacturer Ravensburger has added The Auction House to the latest offering for its Best of British series. The 1000-piece design recently released for the Christmas period captures fictitious saleroom Gavel & Lotte.
However, some faces may be familiar – it is based entirely on the Stourbridge firm Fieldings Auctioneers, owned by Nick Davies and Will Farmer. All the characters are recognisable.
The artist behind the design, Geoff Tristram, is a regular at Fieldings and the saleroom photographer Jay’s dad.
Fieldings is selling the jigsaws at RRP £12.99 and all proceeds will be donated to Birmingham-based charity Edwards Trust.
