Agatha Christie’s 'Passenger to Frankfurt' – £850 at Claydon.
This was, in fact, the last of her spy stories and did not feature in the Alexis Galanos crime collection sold by Sotheby’s and reported in ATG No 2485. However, Passenger to Frankfurt had the added benefit of being signed by its author.
No other copy is to be found in auction records.
Also at the Buckinghamshire sale on February 18-19, a photograph album relating to the First World War experiences in the RFC and RAF of an Australian pilot, Lieutenant ‘Tom’ Burkett MC, sold online at £1300.
